How does a FUE eyebrow transplant work?

An eyebrow hair transplant is performed under local anaesthetic. The desired shape is drawn on the surface to be treated. Much attention must be paid to the balance and shape of the eyebrows and face of each individual.

During the first consultation, a donor area is determined (usually from the back of the head). The hair is harvested from the donor area. These donor hairs are then placed in the planned bald spots on the eyebrow area in individual small incisions just large enough for the hair follicles to implant.

Once transplanted, the hair follicles will grow new hairs 3-4 months after the procedure. The best results are seen after 6-8 months.

Eyebrow transplants are tricky and should be performed by a skilled doctor to leave scars behind. The hair at the eyebrow grows obliquely and not straight as on the head or in the beard. This must be taken into account during the treatment to guarantee a good end result.

Restoring the growth line and growth direction of the eyebrows is difficult, but not impossible with the FUE method. Our doctors can use special equipment to change the direction of the hair follicles up to 50 degrees. This builds and shapes the eyebrow in a natural way.
